Prayer

At the Parish Church of the Ascension, prayer undergirds all that we do, as we call on God to work in and through us. We have monthly prayer meetings at 7:30pm in the church building. They normally happen on the last Thursday of the month. For summer 2008 the dates are: April 24th, May 22nd, June 26th & July 24th. We would value your prayers - specific requests are outlined below.

Thank God for:

1). The wonderful offer from Christchurch Durham to send a team to lead a holiday club in the first week of the summer holidays including a teaching and activities day for the Stewards' 11-18 group.

2).  All those in the church family who are working hard at outreach and wanting our church to grow spiritually.

Please pray for:

1). Lasting fruit for Christ from the Holiday Club and the Stewards Day.

2). Men's Curry evening on September 26th with speaker Mr Godfrey Smallman, partner at Wrigleys' law firm in Sheffield - 'A Christian lawyer: you can't be serious!'
